 The relaxed surroundings of Marinades - Gloucestershire's original licensed Caribbean and Mediterranean restaurant - are unique.  The buzz of conversation and laughter from the diners, the sounds and delicious aromas from the bustling open kitchen, combined with genuinely friendly service all heighten the senses and create a great ambience.

Established in 2003, our aim is to bring to you the wonderful culinary styles and influences of  the Caribbean and, over the past 5 years, we have built up an enviable reputation and now draw Customers from all over the region and neighbouring counties.

Special diets are welcome and we are widely recommended by vegans and veggies www.veggieplaces.co.uk , coeliacs www.gluten-free-onthego.com , and Coeliac UK www.coeliac.co.uk amongst others.  Unlike most other restaurants, no prior notice is needed if you have any special dietary requirements.  The menu is clearly marked and 80% of the dishes are GF.

We were also very grateful to receive several nominations from satisfied Customers for the UKTV Food Local Hero 2006, 2007 and 2008 campaigns.  We have since been included in the UKTV Food "Food Directory" at http://uktv.co.uk/food/localfoodhero/outlet/oid/5458

We were awarded Gold in the Forest of Dean Retail awards for Valued Member of Staff 2007 and Silver for Shops in Bloom 2006.

We are open for lunch from12 noon to 2.00pm (last orders) on Friday and Saturday, 12 noon to 3.00pm on Sunday and dinner  from 6.00 to 9.30pm (last orders) from Tuesday to Thursday  and 6.00 to 10.30pm (last orders) Friday and Saturday. 

We are also open for Sunday lunch from 12 noon to 3.00pm.

We close on Sunday evenings and all day Monday but are happy cater for groups of 12 or more on Sunday or Monday evenings by prior arrangement.  We are also happy to open for reservations of 6 or more by prior arrangement on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunch times.

Take-out orders from our a la carte menu are also welcome.  These are at a discount of 10% of the current published prices.
